Hardware installation
The solution I came up with for getting the two acrylic pieces together was two small hinges. First I was thinking about hiding them, but I liked the look, especially with the brass screws. Gives it a kind of vintage look on a case that otherwise is very modern.

Now I got the base of the build done, so the next thing to do was to install the hardware, plan the cable management, sleeving and so on. I had an Asus AT3IonT-I Deluxe motherboard from an old project and that was the perfect choice. Works perfect as a simple HTPC base. I also added 4GB ram, SSD, a 2TB and 3TB hard disk.

I used double-sided tape to attach the hard disks. To give them a better look I made some white plates to cover them. I also found these 20cm Sata cables that had the perfect color, size and angles.

To cool down the harddrives a little bit I bought some 50mm fans that I glued together and attached to the short side of the harddrives, actually made a big difference.

The last little touch was to sleeve the powercables white, it all fit perfect.
